Assembled by ECS. in 1994, Simmons Beautyrest aimed to make interesting, crazy music from mere synthetic instruments, audio captured from television on micro cassette, and well, other music. All of these were connected inline with a 4 channel mixer, and someone jumped up to press record on the jambox... The result was a widely undiscovered, yet important album, nonchalantly entitled, "Philadelphia Cream Cheese." Track 4 was performed (ECS. + Sterling Southwick) and captured live on KSLC 90.3 in McMinnville, OR. It was soon thereafter decided, that Richard Simmons Beautyrest was a better name, and so it was.
